If you are getting an error with the RioPort Audio Manager reporting that your portable device is busy or not attached, first check that the Rio is plugged in and powered on. Assuming you have checked that, within the software, go to View > Options > Portable and set the "Portable" field to the appropriate Rio device listing. Once you have done that, shut down the RioPort Audio Manager and relaunch it to try again.
If your Rio PMP300 player is not listed in the software, you should uninstall the RioPort Audio Manager using Add/Remove Programs from the Windows Control Panel. Once uninstalled, go to C:\Program Files through "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" and remove the "Rioport" folder. Then, physically remove all parallel and USB devices from your system. (including the Rio PMP300, but excluding a keyboard and/or mouse). Restart your system and reinstall RioPort Audio Manager version 3.2. After it is fully installed, re-attach your Rio and once again set your portable device to Rio PMP300 within the Audio Manager. |
